SWIFT payments are international money transfers made through the SWIFT network, which connects banks and financial institutions around the world. When you send money internationally, a SWIFT payment is often used to process the transaction.
When you send a SWIFT transfer with Altery, it’s important to know that if you don’t have a dedicated multicurrency IBAN, the transfer is processed through a shared account. This means the transaction will show Altery as the sender, not your name.
However, your details (AlteryID, name, and address) are included in the transaction’s 50K field on the MT103 form. This way, the recipient knows the payment is from you, even though Altery is listed as the sender.
