How can I create a strong passcode?

Updated

Take care when creating your new passcode; it's a crucial tool for keeping you and your information safe. We've got some advice here to help ensure that your passcode is strong and secure.

  • Your passcode must consist of six digits.
  • Avoid predictable sequences: For example, '123456' or '000000' are common and easy to guess.
  • No Personal Details: Don't use information that is easy to know about you, such as your birthdate.
  • Be Creative: Mix up the order of your digits for a unique combination.

To update your passcode in Altery, go to 'Settings' → 'Privacy and Security' → 'Account Passcode'.

Make sure never to share your passcode with anyone, not even someone close to you. Altery will never ask you for your passcode.
