Choose account type
Start by selecting ‘Company’ in the ‘Choose Account Type’ window and click ‘Next’. Remember, once you’ve registered an account, you won’t be able to change the account type.
Contact details
- Enter your email address and click ‘Get started’.
- You'll receive a confirmation email containing a code. Enter this code to verify your email.
About your company
Now, it's time to provide some information about your business:
- Country of incorporation: Select the country where your business is registered. If the country is restricted, you'll receive a notification.
- Business information: Enter your business name and registration number.
- Business details: Provide the expected monthly turnover, your company’s website (if applicable), and the purpose of opening an account.
- Phone number: Enter your phone number and click ‘Continue’. Verify your number by entering a one-time confirmation code sent to you via SMS.
- Industry: Select your industry from a predefined list. If your category isn't listed, select ‘My category is not listed’ from the drop-down list.
Select your role
Next, you’ll be asked to specify your role in the company:
- If you're a director or significant shareholder, select the first option.
- If you aren’t a director or a significant shareholder, (e.g., UBO, partner, director), choose the second option, and be prepared to provide documentation confirming your right to manage the account.
Security
Create a secure passcode for your account. (Check out this article for tips on creating a strong passcode.)
Once you've completed these steps, your Altery ID — a unique account number—will be displayed on your screen.
Verification
You can either verify your account immediately or later. To verify now, click ‘Get verified’ to begin the SumSub verification process. This will involve confirming your identity and completing the necessary checks.
Once verified, you'll have full access to your account. If you choose to verify later, you'll still be able to explore the dashboard and use some features until verification is complete.
