How does the exchange rate work?

At Synterra Connect, our exchange rate is dynamic, meaning it fluctuates with current market conditions.

When you initiate an exchange in the app, you’ll be shown the latest available exchange rate. However, please keep in mind that, due to the nature of crypto transactions, the final fiat amount credited will be based on the exchange rate at the time your cryptocurrency actually arrives and is converted to fiat. This rate will be reflected in your transaction details, so you’ll always have a clear record of the final exchange rate used.

This process means the credited amount might vary slightly from the rate displayed when you initiated the transaction.

Cryptoassets are high-risk and may not be right for everyone. The value of your crypto can go up or down at any time and may even fall to zero. You should only invest if you fully understand the risks and if it suits your financial situation. Funds used for crypto transactions are not safeguarded and are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) or the Financial Ombudsman Service.
