Altery partners with Plaid to offer a seamless way to add money to your account from a bank account in your name via Open Banking. For more information about Open Banking and Plaid, check out our ‘What is Open Banking?’ article.

Topping up your Altery account with a bank account in your name is quick and easy:

1. Start by visiting the Altery app or web portal and logging in.
2. Tap ‘Add money’, and select ‘Easy bank transfer’ or find this option in your app centre.
3. Enter the amount that you’d like to add to your account and review the details before pressing ‘Continue’.
4. You’ll be directed to Plaid’s screen. Press ‘Continue’ and select your bank from the list.
5. Authenticate the payment via your selected bank and you’ll see a confirmation screen.
6. ‘Return to app’ and you’re all done.

Please note that Plaid offers their payment initiation services with bank accounts from the following countries: UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Norway, and Belgium.
