Why do you request certified copies or translations?

Updated

To ensure that all information provided is accurate, we may occasionally ask for certified copies or certified translations as part of the verification process. This primarily applies to corporate customers but may also be necessary for individuals in certain cases.

If we can’t independently verify the information provided, we may ask you to provide a certified copy of a relevant document instead of the original document. Certification confirms that the copy is a true and accurate copy of the original.

Examples of documents that may be requested include, but are not limited to:

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association
  • Certificate of registered shareholders
  • Certificate of registered office
  • Certificate of directors and secretary
  • Company structure or ownership documents
  • Applicable business licence, if required
  • Certificate of good standing, if requested

Documents provided for business verification should be in English or Greek. If a document is issued in another language, an official certified translation is required.

If certification or translation is required, we’ll let you know what documents are needed and provide any specific requirements.

Please upload original documents where possible. Screenshots, incomplete documents and unclear copies may not be accepted.

If you have any questions or need help with your documents, please contact us at support@altery.com.
