When making international payments, there are different ways to handle fees. One of the common options is the SHA commission type.
What is the SHA commission type?
With the SHA commission, the sender and the recipient share the fees. This means you, as the sender, will cover the fees charged by your bank, and the recipient will cover any fees charged by their bank. The amount received may be slightly reduced due to these deductions, but it's a popular choice when both parties agree to share the costs of the transaction.
When can I use the SHA commission type?
The SHA commission is most commonly used for SWIFT payments, the global standard for sending money internationally. With SWIFT payments, you can send funds securely, and by choosing the SHA option, the fees are split between you and the recipient.
