The European Union has imposed deposit restrictions on Russian nationals and entities under Article 5b of Council Regulation (EU) 2022/328, dated 25 February 2022, which amends Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014. 

This regulation limits the funds that Russian nationals, residents and legal entities can deposit in EU banks to a maximum of 100,000 EUR per person per banking institution.
