With Altery’s mass payments feature, you can make bulk payments from your business account. It’s never been easier to pay employees, partners and more in one process. Please note that mass payments are exclusively available for verified business accounts; you can review the relevant fees for this service on our website.
We currently support mass payments of up to 150 transactions to bank accounts, up to 300 transactions to bank cards and up to 300 transactions to other Altery clients.. They can either be made directly from your portal menu or via our integrated API. If you’d like to submit a mass payment, please click the ‘Send’ tab and choose your desired transfer type in the ‘Mass Payments’ section. Here’s what to do next:
- Enter details: You can either add payee details manually by filling out the information fields on the right side of the page, or you can upload a CSV file to automatically provide this information. Check out our guide on uploading a CSV file for a detailed breakdown of the process.
- Confirm and complete: After reviewing your payee details, if everything is in order, click ‘Next’ to continue. We’ll send you a one-time code which you can then enter and click ‘Pay’ to confirm the mass payment. It’ll take a few minutes to process, but if you face any issues throughout, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Mass payments to bank accounts
You can send up to 150 bank transfers in one smooth operation via the following payment channels:
- SEPA transfers in EUR
- Faster Payments transfers in GBP to UK banks
- SWIFT transfers in EUR/USD/GBP
The route that each payment takes will depend on the currency and location of the recipient’s bank. This means that the processing times for each payment may vary. Your account’s transaction history will show the payments and their status. We process outgoing transfers on working days and usually do so immediately, but please be aware that it could take up to 24 hours.
When sending a bank wire, you may select one of the following fee types: SHA or OUR. For more information, please visit the following section of our Help Centre: Business account. Depending on the payment route defined by the banking provider, additional fees may be charged by intermediary banks. However, it’s worth noting that there are no intermediary banks in the payment routes of SEPA and Faster Payments systems.
We may occasionally ask for additional supporting documentation to complete your transfer. If we do, please provide us with the information as soon as possible so that we can efficiently process your funds.
Mass payments to bank cards
You can also send up to 150 payments to bank cards in one go! To send a payment, all you’ll need to know are the cardholder’s full name, country of residence and card number.

With Altery, you can transfer money in USD, EUR and GBP but please keep in mind that the card issuer may convert the funds if the currency on your card differs from the currency you’re transferring.
Mass payments to other Altery clients
You can send up to 300 internal payments to other Altery clients in one file. To send a payment, all you’ll need to know are the receiver's unique AlteryID, phone number or email used to register their account with Altery.
Internal transfers can be sent in EUR, USD or GBP.
