Currency exchange (conversion) is the transfer of money from one currency to another. As a valued Altery customer, you can exchange currencies directly within your account. Alternatively, when making a payment to a bank account, bank card or another Altery client, you’ll also have the option to exchange currencies then.
Here’s how to exchange currencies directly within your Altery account:
- Click ‘More’, then ‘Exchange money’
- Enter the following details:

Choose the currency accounts you’d like to exchange from and enter the amount you wish to convert. Once you enter one amount, the other will be calculated automatically. |
| You buy | Choose the currency you want to receive and the amount you’d like to get. Once you enter one amount, the other will be calculated automatically. |
- Click ‘Next’ to review all of the above details. If everything looks in order, select ‘Convert’. If you’d like to make changes, choose ‘Back’.
When making a cross-currency transfer, you’ll see the amount and the percentage of the currency exchange fee directly on the payment page. Please note that currency exchange transactions are irrevocable and there is no cancellation option.
