There are a couple of ways you can send payments through our Telegram bot, either by using contact details or via your contacts on Telegram:

Contact details

1. Open the Altery Telegram Bot and ensure that you’ve logged in.
2. Click on ‘Launch Altery’, then ‘Pay’
3. Enter the AlteryID, phone number or email address of the receiver, or choose from your recent transactions.
4. After selecting the account details, a window will appear confirming whether you know and trust this contact. If you do, go ahead and click ‘Yes’ to proceed.
5. In the currency section, tap the ‘‘€/£/$0’ field and enter the amount.
6. When everything is ready, tap ‘Pay’.
7. Finish up by entering the confirmation code sent to your phone number. You can then copy the transaction details or revisit the dashboard.

Telegram contacts

1. Open the Altery Telegram Bot and ensure that you’ve logged in.
2. Click on ‘Launch Altery’, then 'Pay'.
3. Choose 'Pay to a Telegram contact' and choose a person from your contact list.
4. Tap ‘💸 Tap to enter the amount and currency’, then choose the currency and amount you want to pay. 
5. After this, tap on ‘Create payment link’ to generate a link for the payment.
6. Once you’ve confirmed your payment, you can select ‘Payment link for…’ to send the link to the person you’re paying.

Please note that, if the recipient isn’t yet an Altery customer, they’ll receive an invitation to join and claim the funds. They’ll have 14 days to sign up, get verified and accept the payment before the funds are automatically refunded to your wallet.
