Choose account type
Start by selecting ‘Company’ in the ‘Choose Account Type’ window and click ‘Next’. Remember, once you’ve registered an account, you won’t be able to change the account type.
Business account registration takes place on the web.
Contact details
- Enter your email address and click ‘Get started’.
- You'll receive a confirmation email containing a code. Enter this code to verify your email.
- Enter your phone number and verify it using the one-time confirmation code sent to you via SMS.
About your company
Now, it's time to provide some information about your business:
- Country of incorporation: Select the country where your business is registered. If the country is restricted, you'll receive a notification.
- Business information: Enter your business name and registration number.
- Business details: Provide your expected monthly turnover, company website if applicable, and the purpose of opening an account.
- Industry: Select your industry from the predefined list. If your category isn't listed, select ‘My category is not listed’.
Select your role
Next, you’ll be asked to specify your role in the company:
- If you're a director, UBO or significant shareholder, select the relevant option.
- If you’re an authorised representative, such as an assistant, select the relevant option and be prepared to provide documentation confirming your authority to manage the account.
A board resolution is required to appoint the person who will open and operate the account. It is also required for any user who is granted access to the Altery Business portal, including users with view-only permissions.
Security
Create a secure passcode for your account. You can find some tips on creating a strong passcode here.
Once you've completed these steps, your Altery ID — a unique account number — will be displayed on your screen.
Verification
You can either verify your account immediately or later. To verify now, click ‘Get verified’ to begin the verification process.
Business account verification includes verifying the Account Operator, company and ownership details, and the business information. Once all required checks are complete, you'll have full access to your account.
